Wtf is Uncouth Youth?
Me? I’m Chelsea, a naturopath in training with boldness on her mind. I want lady independents and creatives to know it’s ok to make noise, and give them the information they need to make more informed choices in beauty and self-care.
Why? Because the world is a better place when we do the exact, offbeat thing we’re meant to – stop trying to fit anyone’s mold.
So, in true Uncouth Youth form, I do just that – I mix the un-mixable. Combining my background in health with rebellious rhetoric and personal styling; I bring you head-turning looks to find your edge, the best non-toxic beauty products that don’t compromise fun or function (who ever said you can’t have it all?), and how to pay attention to the inner workings of your body to do your beauty regimen’s work for you.
Bold is the new black, babe, and it’s your best color.

Chelsea has over seven years in the wellness sphere, including studying under a naturopathic doctor and owning her own practice in Austin, TX, where she combined energy work, coaching, and wellness hacks to help her clients feel more comfortable with themselves and in their bodies – see reviews for her former practice here.
She also cut her teeth in the creative industry in one of the most challenging cities in the world – Los Angeles, CA. Here she learned the ins and outs of creative entrepreneurialism – also styling, photography, and modeling. Here she was introduced to a deep love of aesthetics and the beauty industry, while also realizing the lack of awareness and non-toxic options in makeup and personal care.
Later, she spent over five years as an independent contractor and brand ambassador, representing brands such as Apple, Mashable, iHeart Radio, and multiple health and wellness companies in over eight national markets. She learned how to take calculated and intuitive risks to be her own boss.
Her most risky play? An international move to Tokyo, Japan where she realized a dream she’d nearly forgotten – becoming a freelance writer. She contributed to multiple English speaking magazines in her short time in the country
Structuring life to live by her own rules, she’s gone from broke and surviving to
